Hello!

I'm TJ!

Let me introduce myself.

My journey started in 2022 when I rescued a German Shepherd and Siberian Husky cross. I had no idea what I was stepping into, and the thought that I would one day become a dog trainer because of her had never crossed my mind. Yet here we are. If you want to read about our story, you can do that here.

Learning to train her has been fun, challenging and incredibly rewarding. It sparked a passion in me that I never knew I had. I have always loved dogs, but I did not know I could become a dog trainer until she showed me what was possible.

When I am not training dogs or photographing pets, I work with a wide range of animals on a homestead-style farm where their safety and welfare are my responsibility.

You will often find me outdoors in nature, whether I am photographing, walking, working or relaxing. That connection to the outdoors shapes my belief in nurturing the natural bond between pets and their humans. You will not find E collars or prong collars here, no sir (or madam)!

I have been teaching and instructing since 2015. I have taught climbing, bushcraft, archery, cooking, animal care, first aid and more. I understand how people learn and how dogs learn.

I am neurodivergent, and I live with two chronic illnesses. Because of this, I know that not everyone learns in the same way and that the environment can have a huge impact on your experience. My sessions are fully inclusive. Together, we will find a way to help you and your pet thrive. No pressure, no stress.

If you have any questions or want to chat more before booking a session, please reach out! I don't bite, I promise.
